Trauma: I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, in particular, with survivors of rape with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I provide a safe and supportive environment to help survivors heal, process their experiences, and develop healthy coping mechanisms.
Harmful Patterns and Behaviors: I have expertise in working with individuals who feel stuck in cycles of harmful patterns. I provide a non-judgmental and supportive environment to explore the root causes of harmful behaviors, develop coping strategies, and promote recovery.
Therapy for Teens
Navigating the teenage years can be an exciting yet challenging time filled with immense change and self-discovery. I understand the unique pressures, emotional turmoil, and identity formation that teenagers experience during this period. I have extensive experience working with teens and, in addition to my private practice, I continue to be actively involved in providing individual and group therapy for students at a Los Angeles public high school.
I create a safe and non-judgmental space where teens can freely express themselves, explore their emotions, and gain valuable insights into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Through compassionate guidance and evidence-based interventions, I help teens develop coping skills, build resilience, and foster a positive sense of self. Integrative Methods for Effective Results
I am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a form of therapy designed to change negative thoughts and behavior patterns. I am also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), a somewhat newer therapy that uses eye movements to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. Both therapies are evidence-based modalities that have been proven effective in addressing a wide range of mental health concerns. However, I understand that each client’s journey is unique, and I don’t adhere rigidly to a single therapeutic approach.
I believe in the power of integration, drawing from various therapeutic models to create a comprehensive and personalized treatment plan. I combine different methods, incorporating techniques from emotional interventions to psychodynamic therapy.
